Products: Nitrogen fertilisers

Ballance offers a full range of nitrogenous fertilisers suitable for a wide variety of situations. Nitrogen is a growth promoter and can be used strategically to boost pasture production in order to prevent or overcome feed deficits. Careless use of nitrogenous fertilisers can cause environmental consequences. Ballance recommends that users follow the guidelines in the Code of Practice for Fertiliser Use. For pastoral farmers this means no single application in excess of 50 kg N/ha and annual applications at or below 200 kg N/ha. Special care should be taken to ensure that nitrogen fertilisers do not enter vulnerable ecosystems such as waterways.
