Precision Plus farm maps

What is a Precision Plus farm map?

Precision Plus farm maps are highly accurate, GPS-determined maps of farms and their various components. For example, not only can farm and paddock boundaries be mapped with a GPS unit, but so too can drainage lines, water troughs, even trees. Farm maps can be supplied on A4 pads, A3 pads, etched on to whiteboards and in electronic format (dxf shape files).

Why choose a Precision Plus farm map?

Having accurate information about farm and paddock dimensions can greatly enhance farming efficiencies. Traditional farm maps based on orthocorrected aerial photographs are subject to distortion; this does not occur with Precision Plus farm maps, which are accurate to +/- 50 cm. With this degree of accuracy, farmers can better gauge fertiliser, agro-chemical and seed requirements. Groundspreaders, aerial topdressers and spraying contractors with GPS capability can use the map co-ordinates to more efficiently manage their work. Feed budgeting and stocking levels can be determined with more certainty. GPS farm maps may also help add accuracy to nutrient budgets through more precise determination of input data.
