What is pasturezeal G2? 

Now available throughout New Zealand, pasturezeal G2 is an innovative new range of products based on Ballance's original pasturezeal series of fertilisers. Products in the pasturezeal G2 range make use of Ballance's patented coated urea technology, which allows us to offer much more stable blends of nitrogen and phosphorus. The various products in the range are made by dry-blending coated urea with other super-based fertilisers, to produce the desired ratio of nutrients.

Why choose pasturezeal G2? 

Pasturezeal G2 products are ideal for farmers who want to apply all their plant nutrients in one spread. Traditionally, this has been done by blending superphosphate products with urea. However, this brings problems, as the blends can easily become wet and sticky, causing problems for spreaders and increasing the risk of crop striping. Pasturezeal G2 products allow the combination of relatively high rates of nitrogen and phosphorus, with no impact on product quality.

Using pasturezeal G2

  • The pasturezeal G2 range of products is designed to be used alone; however, they can be blended with certain other fertilisers.
  • Pasturezeal G2 products are compatible with potash, SOA (sulphate of ammonia), triple super, sulphur gain and Serpentine Super.
  • Pasturezeal G2 products should not be mixed with n-rich urea, n-rich ammo or DAP. These mixes are at risk of becoming wet and lumpy, which will result in poor spreading and problems for spreading equipment.
  • Care should be taken if pasturezeal G2 products are mixed with Calmag. Such mixes should be spread immediately on receipt.
  • Pasturezeal G2 products should be stored in cool, dry conditions. Exposure to moisture, e.g. rain, puddles, high humidity, will cause the products to deteriorate, which will make spreading difficult.
